I thought I would finish it last night, but fell asleep and had to take a few hours vacation time this morning. But it went off at around eleven in the a-m and I am feeling relieved, at least for the moment. Sheila will be calling tomorrow to let me know what she thinks. It is only twenty five pages, but may suffer from my whole too-intense problem. Dunno. Have no sense of proportion about these things.
Erik came over to celebrate getting a new client with a job that will be covering his rent for the next three months, and I made lasagna. I had thought I would be too tired and that we would go out, but in fact I felt very much that I wanted to cook. Comfort food is good in the eating, but sometimes the comfort is also in the cooking. David was studying, so I had time to just focus on Erik for an evening of conversation and cooking. I am not sure if David will make it over until after exams next week.
In the meantime, Erik has gone home and I am kicking back with a brief respite before picking up the ongoing project. On the couch, looking out my window through the trees, which are now bare, to the rive3r. The funky ship-shaped condo building on the pier is outlined in lights. Very cool
Sleepy girl. Satisfied for the moment. But so, so sleepy! |
